Blecher Confirms Transformers: War for Cybertron Sequel

The success of the first game has inspired Hasbro to green-light Transformers: War for Cybertron 2.

At a recent investor conference, Hasbro confirmed the development of Transformers: War for Cybertron 2. It is set to be released in 2012.

The General Manger of Digital Media & Gaming at Hasbro, Mark Blecher had high praise for the game, saying, "This is the most highly-rated, critical success of any game that's had the Hasbro brand yet and we're looking forward to a sequel in 2012."

Few details were given, including the identity of the sequel's developer. Blecher did hand out some news about two other Transformers games. Transformers: Dark of the Moon will be released next year along with the new movie, and the transformers MMO being developed by NetDragon will be launched in other areas besides just China and Korea.
