New Super Mario Bros. Wii has sold over four million units in a single country.
According to Famitsu.com (via Andriasang), the Super Mario Bros. remake for the Wii has become the first ever title for the console to go quadruple platinum in a single territory. As of last Sunday, the game had sold 4,001,276 units in Japan.

It was first released in Australia on November 12, 2009. Worldwide, the game has sold over ten million units, and is the fastest selling game that came out for a single system in history.
