Downloadable Ghostbusters Game Coming This Spring

Atari and Sony are joining forces to make Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime.

Atari has revealed a new Ghostbusters game is in development, which will be available on the PC, PlayStation Network, and Xbox LIVE Arcade.

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is a four-player game in which a team of Ghostbusters, led by the nameless rookie from Ghostbusters: The Video Game, will do what they've always done best. Players will be able to capture ghosts using the proton stream, plasma inductor and the fermion shock, plus they get to ride around in the Ecto-4WD. Atari has also promised huge bosses which will require the combined forces of the players to defeat.

Although Ghostbusters: The Video Game featured the voices of the cast from the movies, Sanctum of Slime will not. The new game is set to come out in Spring of 2011. The game is in development at Wanako Studios, a subsidiary of Behavior Interactive.
