Black Ops Becomes Seventh Biggest-Selling Game In US History

Sales up 33% on Modern Warfare 2.

According to NPD group, November's sales figures in the US were dominated by Call of Duty: Black Ops.

NPD analyst Anita Frazier said of the title's earnings, "With only one month of sales, it has become the 7th best-selling game of all time [in the US], life-to-date... Black Ops accounted for 25% of all video game software units sold in the month of November."

The game has shifted 8.4 million units across the 360, PS3, Wii, PC and DS since it was released last month. Last year Modern Warfare 2 managed to sell 6 million.
