X-Men Arcade Now Available

The classic arcade game finally hits home consoles with six-player simultaneous brawling action.

Eighteen years after hitting arcades, X-Men Arcade is available for download on the Xbox LIVE Arcade and the PlayStation Network.  Produced by Marvel Entertainment and Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. and developed by Backbone Entertainment, the side-scrolling brawler features the popular superheroes fighting the evil forces of Magneto. The heroes include Wolverine, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, Dazzler, and Cyclops, each with their own signature super move as they take on droves of enemies from the Marvel comic book series.

Multiplayer is supported both locally and online. Up to six can play locally on the PlayStation 3 version, with four local players on the Xbox 360 platform.  With the addition of online, up to six can play simultaneously on either platform with new players dropping in at any time.  High-definition heads-up displays are also featured, with menus and local/online leaderboards to track statistics and scores.  In addition, the Japanese version is included, featuring subtitles and additional power-ups to make the adventure easier than in the standard American version.

X-Men Arcade is now available on Xbox LIVE Arcade for 800 MSP ($10) and on the PlayStation Network for $9.99.
