Get the Plasma Cutter in Dead Space 2 with Dead Space Save File

Anyone with a Dead Space save file can get the Plasma Cutter in Dead Space 2.

Visceral Games' Louis Gascoigne posted a tweet saying that the Plasma Cutter from Dead Space will carry over to Dead Space 2. Players who have a save file from the original Dead Space will get the weapon at the beginning of the sequel.

However, Gascoigne has also informed gaming blog Joystiq that the upgrades players purchased in Dead Space won't carry over to Dead Space 2.

Dead Space 2 will be released on January 25, 2011 for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
