3DS North America Price and Release Date Revealed

The 3DS will launch on March 27, 2011 for $249.99 USD in North America. 

Nintendo held a press event in New York today to talk about details regarding the release of the 3DS in North America.

The 3DS will launch March 27, 2011 for $249.99 USD. It will come packaged with a 2GB SD card, a charging cradle, and six augmented relaity cards (AR cards). Two colors will be available at launch, Aqua Blue and Cosmo Black.

Software in the 3DS include a 3D camera, Face Raiders (built in game where you shoot pictures of faces you shot), Mii Maker, StreetPass Mii Plaza, Activity Log, Nintendo 3DS Sound (Mp3 player and sound recorder), AR games, Nintendo eShop, System transfer, and an Internet Browser.

Some of these features won't be available until shortly after launch via download.
