MTV Games Closes Its Doors

MTV Games has shut down following recent financial troubles.

MCV reports that MTV games closed down on Wednesday. A few staff members have been left in the office in New York to "collect or reconcile any outstanding receivables."

The company has been having financial problems since the low sales of the newest Rock Band games, which led to the sale of developer Harmonix Music Systems. Harmonix is also currently involved in a legal battle with Viacom over the payment of performance-based bonuses.
