Bizarre Creations To Close February 18, 2011
Bizarre Creations to officially close on Friday.
Bizarre Creations is set to close on February 18th, 2011 according to a report by Develop.
Bizarre Creations was founded in 1994, the studio was acquired by Activision in 2007. It was announced that Activision was looking to close the studio in November, 2010 if a buyer was not found, it is speculated that the commercial failings of both Blur and James Bond 007: Blood Stone were behind the decision.
Despite initial interest in the studio a buyer was not found, in January Activision recommended to studio heads that the developer should close.
Over the course of its history the studio has developed 20 titles on various platforms and worked with publishers such as Microsoft, SEGA, and Activision. The studio is widely known for Metropolis Street Racer, Project Gotham Racing, and the Geometry Wars series.
