MDK2 WiiWare Approved For Release
MDK2 WiiWare approved, currently waiting for release. MDK2 HD still in development.
MDK2 WiiWare has been approved for release by Nintendo according to Beamdog founder Trent Oster. The title is currently on queue for release. On Beamdog's official forums Oster wrote the following,
"Big picture, MDK2 Wiiware is approved, but waiting in the queue for distribution."
Oster also dropped a few hints regarding the upcoming MDK2 HD PC release.
"MDK2 HD is cooking along. Cam's got the engine torn apart and half put back together around a completely revised lighting model. At one point he dropped a comment about 26 rendering passes for on frame, but I think he was still in development and a lot of the passes were performing the same function."
MDK2 was originally released in 2000 for the Dreamcast, PC, and PlayStation 2.
Update: Added clarification about the HD release.
