Rising Star Games confirm that Europe will see only the uncensored version.

A censored release for No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle is Europe is no longer on the cards, Rising Star Games can confirm.

Rising Star Games, the publisher behind a number of Suda 51’s games in Europe has told That Gaming Site that the mild version of the game will not be released in Europe in favour of releasing just the uncensored experience.

Yen Hau made this comment regarding its cancellation:

"We just had a closer look at things and it just didn't make sense to bing out two versions. At the end of the day, realisically people will go for the bloody version over the censored version.  It was also less confusing for everybody involved."

The ‘Mild’ version was originally announced as part of the European launch plans as far back as 2008 just days after the game was announced:

We won't be able to make the same game for all territories. For Europe, we're going to release two versions. One extreme version and one with less violence... With No More Heroes 2 we want to please the fans too. I want the European users to be able to experience the extreme version.
