Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light Announced

Crystal Dynamics reveals Lara's latest adventure.

Crystal Dynamics have officially unveiled, "Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light", the latest title in the Tomb Raider series. As you may have noticed, "Tomb Raider" is missing from the title so it will either be a permanent rebranding or simply a spin off. Guardian of Light will only be released digitally later this year for presently unannounced platforms.

“This is a really exciting project for Crystal Dynamics, we have created something completely new and very different to what people might be expecting,” said Darrell Gallagher, General Manager of Crystal Dynamics. “Lara Croft is such an iconic character in videogames, with Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light we have created what we believe is a truly original digital experience.”

Guardian of Light will be showcased at GDC 2010 which begins March 9th, the demo is strictly behind closed doors. A website to promote the title has also been launched.
