Nintendo Embarrassed for Sony's Move, Microsoft's Natal

Nintendo reacts to Microsoft and Sony's newest motion-controller innovations.

With Sony recently showing off what their new motion controller the "Move" can do and Microsoft continuing to promote their own "Project Natal" with celebrities on their Web site, Nintendo isn't sweating the two newest motion-controller related developments in gaming.  Nintendo of America's president, Reggi Fils-Aime, recently told Kotaku that Nintendo "would have been embarrassed to do what our competitors are currently doing."

While the Xbox 360 and PS3 are late to the motion-controller game when compared to Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony have been offering HD gaming with their consoles, something Nintendo's Wii clearly lacks.

As far as Nintendo's plans for supporting HD gaming, Fils-Aimes said that "for us high definition by itself is not the next frontier...we need to provide a whole new compelling experience in our next generation."

In an attempt to demonstrate superiority over the Wii's motion-controller, "Project Natal" has been focusing on the ability to play games without a controller, while the "Move" has been showcasing a more precise motion-controller experience.

We'll see how the latest development in interactive gaming plays out this holiday season, when both "Project Natal" and the "Move" are slated for release.
