Test Drive Unlimited 2 Delayed To 2011

Sequel to Test Drive Unlimited delayed until Q1 2011 citing more development time.

Atari has delayed Test Drive Unlimited 2 into Q1 2011 citing the need for added polish to the multiplayer component of the game.

"To date, Test Drive Unlimited 2 has generated great media buzz and incredible excitement amongst gamers and fans of the franchise," said David Nadal, Studio Manager of Eden Games. "By moving the title's release date to early 2011, we will be able to further advance the game and take into account consumer feedback to help ensure we deliver a great online lifestyle racing experience."

The beta was also delayed to coincide with the new release, a new date will be announced soon.

Users who have already signed up for the beta will be rewarded with exclusive in-game items.

Atari is expected to announce a new release date in the coming weeks. Test Drive Unlimited 2 will release on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
