Deathspank Sequel Announced

The sequel to Hothead's summer release is coming this fall.

Today on Joystiq, Hothead games and Ron Gilbert announced that the sequel to Deathspank is coming very soon.  Deathspank: Thongs of Virtue was in development when the original released this summer and is due out in September.  The title will be coming for PSN on September 21 and XBLA September 22.  If you are curious what we thought of the original, feel free to check out our review.

Ron Gilbert departed from Hothead in April, but the script for the game is said to include dialogue and aspects from Gilbert. A PC version may be coming but for now Hothead will be focusing on and releasing the console versions. It was also anounced that those who haven't played the first will be able to jump right into this one with little problems. The only potential down side is that with the games being co-developed is that the sequel will include no online coop.
