Kane & Lynch Takes Top Spot In UK

And Modern Warfare 2 becomes biggest-selling UK game of all time.

IO Interactive's newly-released Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days stormed to the top of the all-format release charts in a pretty empty release window.

Despite many critics' shoulder-shrugging reviews (64 on Metacritic), the action sequel managed to knock Toy Story 3 off the number one slot in last week's chart sales. It was the only game released last week.

Elsewhere, despite being released last November, Modern Warfare 2 is still standing firm in eleventh place and has now broken the UK record for biggest-selling game of all time. The previous record holder was the DS title Dr Kawashima's Brain Training. Also of note, Red Dead Redemption is still holding onto the third place slot.
