Analyst: L.A. Noire Delayed
Evan Wilson blames new management team.
Evan Wilson of Pacific Crest Securities has claimed that L.A. Noire, which was originally announced in 2005, has been delayed once again. This would be the 20th major delay for the publisher since the new management started work in 2007. Three of those would be for L.A. Noire.
Wilson expressed some frustration with the way the management team has been handling things.
"Clearly, management either has no control over the release of its games, cannot accurately predict the timing of their completion or is not concerned with the forecasts it issues to investors. In any case, the delays have reinforced the low confidence we have in current management."
L.A. Noire is being developed by Team Bondi. It will take place in the 1940s and will involve solving murder mysteries in the underbelly of Los Angeles. Its release has been pushed back to late 2011.
