Dragon Age 2 Will Have Few Choices Early, More Later

BioWare assures fans that the new Dragon Age will involve plenty of choices.

The changes made to the newest Dragon Age game have upset a few fans. Unlike in Dragon Age: Origins, players will not be able to play as an elf or a dwarf. They must play as a human named Hawke, and will only be able to choose Hawke's gender and class.

Despite the less varied beginning, BioWare head Ray Muzyka has promised that players will still be able to make many decisions throughout the game. The more constrained beginning will allow Dragon Age 2 yo focus more on the narrative of the main character, which will cause the story to be more polished.

"It's built around him being a human, and hence your choices are a little more constrained at the beginning, but on the other hand that enables us to do a lot more other cool things as well, in terms of the way the narrative flows, and the other party members that join with you are really cool and interesting and diverse."

Dragon Age 2 will be released on March 8, 2011 in North America and March 11 in Europe. It will be available for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
