Dugas Promises Smart Deus Ex for Consoles
Deus Ex: Human Revolution won't be "consolified," says Eidos director.
Eidos director Jean François Dugas recently spoke with CVG about Deus Ex: Human Revolution and what will be changed and retained from the original.
It looks like Human Revolution will be modernized, but not significantly different from the highly popular Deus Ex. Specifically, players can expect to be able to experiment with the game and figure out their own path - an experience that Dugas calls "timeless."
Console gamers will be interested to know that Eidos will not be dumbing down Human Revolution for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
"We didn't think, 'Oh, it's coming to console; it has to be easy' ... It's not about removing complexity or cutting possibilities: it's about the way the complexity is introduced."
Deus Ex: Human Revolution will be available for PC and the two consoles on February 2011.
