EA Reveals New Details About Create at TGS
Create is EA's answer to LittleBigPlanet.
Electronic Arts displayed their family friendly creation at Tokyo Game Show on Wednesday. "Create" is being called a cross between LittleBigPlanet and Scribblenauts.
EA promises 14 pre-made worlds and 140 "challenges" that can be overcome in just about any way that the player can imagine using their collection of objects, and you unlock more of these objects the more you play, giving you even more options.
"It's a limitless experience of creative expression paired with exciting and even wacky challenges that have you thinking on your feet to come up with creative solutions," says the Create website.
Players are rewarded for their creativity, gaining more items and designing tools for coming up with really crazy solutions to the challenges. EA developer Emily Newton Dunn presented some of these items as TGS, including balloons, rockets, ramps, and her personal favorite, a boot on a stick.
Another big feature of the game is the ability to design worlds. Like in LittleBigPlanet, players will be given stickers and textures as well as brushes and animating objects to build intricate backgrounds for their own challenges. Players can then share their creations through their online connections, and can even re-mix another person's world.
Create is set for release in November for the Mac, PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
