Latest game in franchise breaks previous sales records.
Pokemon Black & White went on sale in Japan last week and broke the franchise's previous best opening weekend record.
Previous record holder, 2006's Pokemon Diamond & Pearl, managed to sell 1,586,360 copies in two days of being available. 2010's Black & White sold 2,637,285 copies in just two days, a full million clear of Diamond & Pearl.
Black & White will release in North America and Europe next year.
