CCP Offering Helpful New EVE Online Edition

EVE Online: Commissioned Officer Edition helps new players get used to the game.

CCP Games has created a new edition of their hit space MMO that gives new players helpful hints and a temporary ability boosts. EVE Online is known for its steep learning curve, and CCP finally decided to do something about it.

"The Commissioned Officers Edition is the best way for a new player to get a running start in the highly competitive environment of EVE Online" says Sr. Producer Arnar Gylfason.

The box set's Cerebral Accelerator feature is described as "a military-grade implant that significantly increases a new pilot's skill development" and boosts many of the player's abilities for the first 30 days of play. Also, the first 30 days are free, and it comes with an EVE Online poster which contains a number of useful tips.

The Commissioned Officer Edition will be released on October 19 for the Mac and PC for $19.99. Atari was announced as the publisher in North America, as of writing, a EMEA publisher was not announced.
