Yamauchi on Gran Turismo 5 Release: "The Discs Are Being Stamped As We Speak"

Series creator claims Gran Turismo 5 discs are being "stamped".

Speaking to Jalopnik, father of the Gran Turismo franchise, Kazunori Yamauchi, hints the game may have gone gold. When asked when the game would release, Yamauchi responded, "The discs are being stamped as we speak.". According to the site, Yamauchi made a "disc-stamping motion with his hands" after being questioned.

Gran Turismo 5 was originally set to release on November 2nd, 2010 in North and Latin America, November 3rd in Europe and Japan, and November 4th in Australia. In October Sony announced the game would not meet its release date. A reason for the delay was not given.
