BioWare to Launch Facebook Dragon Age Spinoff

Dragon Age fans can soon fight evil with their Facebook friends.

BioWare recently put up a website detailing the Facebook-based Dragon Age spinoff, Dragon Age Legends. This casual game will allow friends to play together on Facebook and collect unique, exclusive items for Dragon Age II.

Dragon Age Legends producer Ethan Levy promises that he and his team are working to make sure the game is "true to Dragon Age."

"Dragon Age Legends will be our first major attempt at delivering on the goal of creating a fully featured, highly accessible, incredibly fun game that is tailored specifically for social networks.  In future posts, we will be talking about how we have married a strategic yet accessible combat system with deep character and castle customization and an epic, BioWare class story set to create Dragon Age Legends."

Players will follow one of the most trusted allies of Ravi, the new Viscount of Kaiten, when some "mysterious circumstances" beset him and his son. This happens 13 years after you and Ravi defeated his uncle, who had been possessed by a Pride demon.

Dragon Age Legends will appear on Facebook in February 2011. Facebook users can sign up for the beta at the game's website.
