Mole Control Review
The moles have overrun Molar Creek! Who you gonna call?
Unfortunately, the game does have some weird technical issues. The only supported resolution is 1024*768 and the number pad will not register when attempting to enter a product key. Player’s can’t skip the opening cut scene either and pressing the escape key on the keyboard will close the game. Caps Lock wouldn't register either, which means that players must use the shift key to enter uppercase letters. The camera also has a tendency to feel unresponsive at times when attempting to surf around the map.

Ignoring the technical issues, the visuals do look pretty good and the cut scenes are simple, well animated, and fit within the general style of the game. The models are cartoony and goofy looking which really works to the advantage of the engine. It doesn't seem like AA is present and, if it is, the settings are most likely at two AA. Due to the limited resolution support, the game will looked stretch on certain screens but fortunately a windowed option is available to help alleviate the issue to a certain extent.
Mole Control will leave a lasting impression on many players and those who quit the game in frustration (and I'm sure many will) will eventually return for another fix of the addictive gameplay. While it may not be the game that replaces Minesweeper, Mole Control is, and should be, a worthy addition to any gamers’ library.
